REVIEW: The Mau5′s Xfer

slimcoverdeadmau5xfersaf

For all you aspiring producers out there,

I just picked up a copy of Deadmau5′s (A.K.A Joel Zimmerman) Xfer, a quality CDROM of loops, drums, efx, etc that can plug into most production software (FL Studio, Live, Reason, Pro Tools) I have been playing around with it for the last few hours, and I have to say it is remarkable. Not only do you get a extensive set of quality drum kicks, claps & hits, but over 300 royalty free drum loops, which makes life alot easier for those who are new to the process of producing electronic music. My favorite part about it is the inclusion of REAL vintage synth sounds. The Moog sounds great. At USD $99 it is QUITE a steal, and if you are trying to show the world what you can do, this is a great building block in anyones musical arsenal.

Xfer can be picked up here, along with other cool stuff from the MAU5

CRAW

Here are a few drops to enjoy. While they are not Xfer related, I figured all of you would enjoy some quality material for your sets.

Deadmau5 feat Kaskade- I remember (Caspa remix)- DOPE!

Sydney Blu- Senses and the Mind

Samo Ti (AC Slater rmx)- HIGHLY reccomended

Armand Van Helden- Ski Hard

Bionic Commando (yes the video game)- Rusko remix

Jape- Floating (D.I.M remix)

Also, check out my boy Mike’s new single, which he produced and spits on with SF MC Knoso. Good looks!
