As we can all tell, everyone here on MHD has a few genres that they are particularly fond of and like posting. I, lé Jourgie, or Jourgie for short, have been refining my taste over the last year to where I am now, at the point where I can make mixes that I am sure I will stand by for time to come. So, as of current, I am particularly fond of: tech-house, deep house, techno (yes, it is a specific genre, not just a prejudice word for electronic music), nu/space/death/italo disco, a little minimal, and the occasional electro house ballad or floorbanger. So, seeing as those genres receive little mention on MHD, I am going to start posting songs falling into these genres, descriptions or not, so you can all see what else is cruising down the galactic highway. I’ll start out with a little Sebastien Leger, an amazingly versatile producer out of France who mainly makes tech-house, but is also capable of turning out a dirty electro house banger (ie, his remix of Marilyn Manson’s “The People”). But you’ve all heard electro house before, so let’s explore a few of his tech-house releases. Notice how his melodies are very clean sounding and almost feel as though they have a chrome finish to them.

As I mentioned previously, I am currently happy where I stand genre wise, so I am going to be pumping out some quality mixes in the next few weeks (I will post them on here). So be sure to get on those and join me in my cosmic exploration into some of electronic music’s lesser publicized genre’s. But, coinciding with my ADD personality, they may be all over the place…. caveat downloader!
