3rd Installment of FIGHT CLUB. This week deejay INFUSION will be taking on Fight Club resident XPLCT. Xplct has been working with Infusion for almost a year now so get ready for an intense battle between master and pupil.
Opening the night will be Corrine Vs. So What. This bf and gf have a great relationship because the only time they ever fight is when they’re behind the decks duking it out.
Over the last few days we’ve been hit with a plethora of banging mixes that merit a feature on the blog.
The first mix comes from DJ Bozak, a Midwest transplant who moved west to take a break from destroying parties and clubs to focus on producing.
Train Wreck is an exclusive mix for the Red Bull Music Academy Radio that Bozzy was nice enough to share with the Irondj fam. This mix features 50+ minutes of the bootie shakin Disco and Boogie that garnered him a free plane ticket to the Land Down Under. Stay tuned for tour dates in your area.
I have to say, the Disco Villains have been steadily coming out with solid originals and remixes, and their latest EP (out now on Dirty Disco Youth records) is no exception. This remix done by night drugs stands out from the rest by far, and can easily set the tone for a raucous electro DJ set.
Disco Villans – We Just Came To Get The Party Started (Night Drugs Remix)
Next up is San Francisco’s own Jeffery Paradise. Known more so for throwing the epic BLOW UP SF parties (every friday except the first of the month at the Rickshaw stop-155 Fell) and more recently Club 1994 at 111 Minna, he has actually produced some of his own material. I stumbled upon this remix of his track I’m Not Alright by LeRAIDED, and I have to say it kills it, especially when the bass really kicks in. Be sure to head down to the Rickshaw and see how SF throws down on a Friday night! Jeffery Paradise – I’m Not Alright (Le Raided Remix)
Finally, I bring to you a fine heavy electro banger remixed by Blende, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite producers/remixers. I really think the track speaks for itself. Throw it in your sets and see what transpires.. Adrian Lux – Strawberry (Blende Remix)
Captain Gunners takes over the helm yet again with his murderously whomptastic dubstep mini mix. It is highly recommended that you give kapgun 15 minutes of your time and check out his tribute to San Francisco’s very own OSC (Outter Sunset Click). This little mix is perfect for any reggae, dance hall, electronica or deb step fan. The mix was produced as a live dj mix, recorded in real time with no editing direct from California. Please enjoy this mix, and make sure to download some of the related tracks available on the iron dj network.
The goal of IronDJ.net is to create a website that functions as a network for DJs, musicians and musical enthusiasts to provide and access original music and mixes for distribution, promotion, assessment and enjoyment.
