So after our beloved Micheal Jackson died the blogsphere has been pumping out a ton of remixes. Here is a little mix tape I made of some of the best I found from around the web. Enjoy.
1. MICHAEL JACKSON – DON’T STOP ‘TIL YOU GET ENOUGH (ORGINAL DEMO FROM 1978)
One of Brooklyn Fires newest artists , Figure is helping the Midwest make a new name for itself. With his steady stronghold grip on his own style of production , djing , and even promotion , there is no way to ignore the self movement Figure is creating. After breaking away from his hometown of Evansville, Indiana, Figure started by making original and remixing tracks that can be found plastered all over the internet. Spanning from wonky bass house tracks to fidgety remakes of classics from Dr Dre to FPI. Not only being a skilled craftsmen with mixing and production, but he is also standing on the solid name he built for himself with his turntablist sets and beatmaking before he was 18 . Figure is a standalone swift slap in the face to the scene that surrounds him. He has also been taking over the nightclub scene around the Midwest , giving him more than a hand full of styles for whatever curve ball the crowd tosses him. At only 23 , Figure has made his way around the International music scene and U.S circuit . Playing in every major city with everyone from Computer Club to Blackalicous , Atmosphere to Tommie Sunshine …the list goes on and on. Figure toured with Dj Rhetmattic , Greyskul , Sleep , and The Visionaries just to name a few , before he was old enough to go into a bar. Truly seasoned in musical performance and moving state to state every year, you will be seeing Figure in your home town soon.
So it seems like there has been a drought of quality music the past few weeks. Maybe it is me, I’m not looking at the right blogs. Send us your link if you want to be on our blog roll… I was however able to throw together some miscellaneous tracks that I was able to deem worthy of 3 stars or above. There is no real rhyme or reason to this list, I apologize in advance for the contrast in genres….
